The early successes of Ricci as a child actor was due to her performance of Wednesday Addams, in The Addams Family in 1991 as well as Addams Family Values in 1993. Ricci also won praise for playing Kat Harvey in Casper in 1995. Ricci transformed into adult roles in The Ice Storm (1997) which was followed by her highly praised role of the role in The Opposite of Sex (2000) in which she received a nomination for an award called a Golden Globe for Best Actress. She continued her success by delivering well-received roles in Sleepy Hollow (1999) and Monster (2003). Ricci played opposite Liam Neeson in Black Snake Moan (2007, Penelope 2008), Speed Racer (8), New York I Love You (9), and After.Life (2009).
